ib vogt secures 300 MWac capacity solar project in India

Berlin/Germany, Gurgaon/India 15/07/2020. ib vogt GmbH, through its subsidiary ib vogt Singapore Pte. Ltd., has won the right to sign a fixed tariff 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) under competitive bidding held by SECI, a Govt. of India Enterprise. This was the ninth such auction carried out by SECI, one of the highest credit rated renewable energy buyer in India.

After issuance of the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) by SECI, an Indian subsidiary of ib vogt Singapore Pte. Ltd. shall execute the PPA in Q4 2020.

The project will be located in Rajasthan, the desert state of India having highest potential irradiance, and will connect at 220 KV Pooling Sub Station (PSS) specially earmarked for evacuating power from such large solar project. The solar power plant will generate up to 800 GWh of renewable energy per year, enough to avoid the annual emission of up to 700.000 tonnes of CO2 emission into the atmosphere.
