Job Summary
The Business Controller has a key role to measure and report on the performance of Philippines entity and project/projects against budget/forecast. This role will also work on the implementation of improvements to processes and systems to ensure that the Finance function keeps pace with the growth of the business.
Job Description
- Responsible for all Philippines entity and project-related matters including but not limited to project/entity structure, financials, audit, cashflow planning, reporting process, planning, budgeting, and overall strategy
- Main contact person in Philippines to support liaise with HQ/region finance, local service providers on all Finance related matters
- Prepare and/or review full sets of accounts, bank reconciliation, month-end closing requirements
- Prepare and/or review quarter-end and year-end statutory and management accounts
- Ensure on time payment of supplier's invoice, intercompany loans and employee's reimbursements and liquidations with corresponding complete authorization
- Review corporate tax returns, VAT, and other tax-related documents for accuracy and compliance
- Partner business development and project team to provide timely and accurate monthly entity budget/forecast, project performance tracking as well as cashflow monitoring and reporting
- Support process and reporting improvement effort, including process streamlining, data structure standardization, system implementation and reporting automation etc
- Prior experience of at least two years as a project analyst/project controller
- Education: Finance/ Business/ Accounting Graduate, min 5 years’ experience
- Core technical skills: Accounting, project controlling, financial forecasting & statistical analysis
- Secondary technical skills (desired): financial modelling, data analytics
- Computer literacy: Advanced excel and other reporting tools such as Power Querry, Power BI would be highly desired
- Soft skills: analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive, good communication and presentation skills, meticulous, organized/ systematic, able to present financial information to a non-financial audience
